I have an early model Ibanez SR500 that I used to like playing a lot. A couple years ago when I hooked up I got sound for about 3 seconds then just dies. I'm guessing it is the preamp since there is not much else to the electronics. My question is...Is it possible to just buy the preamp anywhere? I tried Bartolini and they said they do not support their product installed in Ibanez guitars. They offered me complete replacement electronics but at over $200 I don't see the value in it. Any advice is appreciated.
