I'm thinking about changing my current bass Ibanez gsr205sm (34" scale and string space16.5mm) to SRMS625EX or BTB625EX
SRMS625EX has string space: 16.5mm and scale between 35.5" - 34.0". This would help with B string, especially if I dropped it to A. In my current bass B string can be a little bit floppy.
BTB625EX has 35" scale length and a little more string space (19 mm).
If im correct more string space can be helpful with slap but changing between strings in faster runs could be more challenging. But will 2.5 mm make a noticeable difference on a 5-string bass? Same to 35.5" - 34.0" and normal 35" scale, will this few centimeters make a difference?
I just fund good deal for Ibanez BTB25TH5-SLM, which is usually much more expensive. So, I can get any of these three instruments at a similar price.
I mainly wanted multiscale for more tension on string B without adding to much on G string.
