Hi. For your consideration is my Ibanez SRMS805. Bass is in excellent condition and I am hard pressed to find any blemishes anywhere. Fanned fret style neck not only gives this bass a KILLER B string, it is also ergonomic for your left hand to play. I had ZERO issues going from a normal style bass neck to this style and then back again. A case will be included only of I get my asking price, otherwise I can separate the neck and ship in a box; would rather ship in case though. Specs below, rather lengthy LOL:

To the newcomer, the multi-scale concept may appear a bit unusual, but the biggest surprise may be how comfortable players become within a minute or two of playing the instrument. The different fret-to-bridge distances enhance tonality, creating a better sounding bass. Previously, these instruments were only available from boutique bass builders, but now Ibanez is proud to introduce the SRMS805: multi-scale bass at an affordable price.

The goal of the multi-scale system is to give the better tension of each string. The tension helps to create a more “alive”, open tone. On the SRMS805, the scale length is 34” on the G-string side, expanding to 35.5 at the low B.
Although the multi-scale neck can appear intimidating and unnatural, nothing could be further from the truth. When looking down at the neck from the players perspective, the exagerated fret layout seems to almost disappear and actually feels quite normal. The slant of the multi-scales ergonomically coordinate with the way a players hand angles as it moves up and down the neck, facilitating quick, comfortable playing action.

The SRMS805 is a quality instrument designed for the experienced, seasoned musician. Its Poplar burl / Mahogany body is attached to a 5pc Jatoba/Walnut SRMS5 neck with a Panga panga fretboard, Medium frets and custom multi-scale inlays. The Mono-Rail VS Bridge is the perfect match for a fan-fret instrument, allowing for independent positioning of each strings “mini-bridge” section to providing excellent intonation and superior string vibration transference. Electronics include Bartolini® BH2-5 pickups, for a full range warm punchy tone, and a 3-band EQ w/ Bypass switch and Mid-Frequency switch for complete sonic control.

Is this still available? Would you post to Australia in the case if I pay asking price?
If yes, could you cost it for me... even roughly??

Hi. The last time I shipped a bass within the USA, it was $90, can’t imagine how much it would cost to ship to you

PM replied to. I have also added pic of case provided and made change to the pickups, they are BH-2, not BH-1 pickups.

Do you know the weight of this bass? I don't really need another right now, but I had back surgery recently and could definitely use a lighter bass than my usual 11lb or 12lb basses...

Plus that is a lovely section of poplar burl they used for the facings  how could one pass that up ?

Thanks

Minus, doing the adjustment myself ( which I don't really want to do because it is set up so nicely ), I have no idea. Maybe there is something on talkbass about it. Sorry

I will put it on a scale later this evening and re-post. It is not a heavy bass and I am sure it is under 11lbs easily.
