Ibanez srx 690e 4 string bass

I don't get it? Bass is tuned and setup with strings as low as possible with no fret buzz. I have been player since 70's and had 74 Jazz Bass originally,never any problems. Now Ibanez srx 690e bass and D tuner keeps breaking. 3rd time already. Standard guage strings. I just don't get it.
Any help would be appreciated.
