I saw these basses many years ago,,and I always wanted it because it has just simple vol and tone controls. Anyway..it has a sort of Music Man Style Single Pickup..and I was wondering if its possible to replace the stock pickup with something better,or are they two different sizes completely. I have a chance to pick one up in super clean condition..but I don`t really recall if they sound good or not. Anyone have any experience with these?

Pickup sounds great, preamp seems a bit overcooked.
Edit: I have an SRX505 and I think the preamp is different. I pretty sure it uses the same pup whick I like just fine.
