This is the top of the line model for this series. It has Swamp ash body with 5 piece Maple and Walnut neck through construction with Musicman style humbuckers. This bass cuts through the mix very well and weighs a very comfortable 8 lbs. It has had a fret level done by Benjamin Strange at Strange Guitar Works and plays like butter. This bass is in excellent condition. It will ship in a Gator hard case.This bass is made in Korea and is much much better quality than what they currently make in Indonesia. Buyer to pay actual shipping cost.

I'm just realizing I took the photos with the truss tod cover off, it is included. Only reason I'm selling is because I picked up a honeyburst which was my preference in finish. These are definitely hard to come by and a steal for the money. Where else can you get a neck through bass for this low a price?!?!

This is the model bass that famed Carol Kaye swore by for years. Carol is one of the most prolific studio musicians of all time. She was die hard Ibanez until she had a fallout with them over how they changed the bass and production.

Love those SRX basses! I have one with the alinco and one with the ceramic pu's. Fast necks without being spaghetti like those SR basses.

The SRX line is like that diamond in the mine that was overlooked.
I even spoke to the local Ibanez dealer about them. I was saying I was going to bring my SRX up to compare with the new E line of SRs. SR370E.
He told me not to bother, because the SRX is a brilliant bass. He also said they're built sturdier than the SR, which I also think is true.
Those PFR (Passive Full Range) pickups can keep up with the Nordstrands in my Premium Ibanez (and with more output). It literally took me months to find a bass worthy of upgrading to from my SRX, and even now I can't sell the SRX, because it's just that great!

I agree with everyone's comments on these and can admit it was definitely Carol's choice that got me on the trail. You really see how great these are after you get to try one out. I was a bit nervous buying one unseen, but these are top notch.
