I recently picked up an Ibanez TMB100 on Facebook marketplace for $100.
so far, I’m loving it but the P pickup cuts in and out randomly.
The volume portion of the pot works perfectly fine, and the pickup blend dial will shift between the J pickup and the P (even if P is inaudible). I checked the P input to the pot and found no shorts, and I’m able to measure considerable load across the pickup from the ends of the two wires.
also worth mentioning, when set to the J pickup completely I have found no issues with the active EQ. from what I can tell the issue is likely in the wiring of the P pickup.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Should the pot or pickup be replaced? Is there something else that I’m missing?
