Ibanez TMB35 with Lollipop Ultralites

I put them on my 605 . Seemed like it saved a bunch of weight , now all the weight seems to be in the body and the tuners look really cool . Much easier tuning and more precise . Good choice !

I ordered mine directly from Hipshot:

USA Ultralite® Bass Tuning Machine 1/2

Be sure to select “Lollipop Key” from the Key Style drop down menu.

They can be found cheaper, but I ordered from Hipshot to be sure that I would get the right sized ferrules. The TMB35 has 18 mm holes drilled in the headstock, but the ultralites come standard with 16 mm ferrules.

it would be easy to criticize spending $180 on tuners for a $250 bass. I prefer to think of it as spending $430 total on a very well built short scale 5 string with more than acceptable electronics.

Function first but looks are important. They look great. I had a Bronco-master parts bass with a Bronco neck that I'd love some new tuners on. Unfortunately the size of the headstock holes doesn't allow for an easy swap. And since I have no talent for woodworking or access to a drill press I'm pretty leery of attacking it with drill.

That looks great! Thanks for the info on those.

I have a project going, long story, but one part I should have in the next day or so is a Bronco neck with some Hipshots already installed. So I can compare those with my existing neck too. But more choices is great.
