Has anyone played it off the tripod? Can you practice with it in bass guitar position? Or created an endpin for it yet?
No, but been thinking of making one. More than once I've tripped myself up on that stand. Kinda thinking of using black iron or steel gas pipe to fit into the upper part of the stand and doing away the lower half. Then add a rubber tip to the end. Sort of a makeshift end pin. We shall see..

I’ve had mine for about a month. I’ve used it for a couple rehearsals and it’s going to be lots of fun. Being primarily an upright player, I still can’t dial out the metallic sound I’m getting. I changed the strings to the LaBella black tape wounds. Too much mwah for sure. I’m thinking about trying the NS design strings. Any other string options anybody have success with?

After trying others, I just put the Thomastik jazz flats on my recently acquired Ibanez EUB and WOW, worth the price. It’s a 34” scale, so these strings fit perfectly. As I am primarily an acoustic upright player, these feel like upright strings, and on my EUB, sound better than others I’ve tried.

Wanted to see if you've played them with a bow and how they sounded? thanks
