Up for sale or trade is an awesome Ibanez XPT700 Xiphos guitar in this really gorgeous blue/green chameleon finish.
Neck-through construction, impressive DiMarzio D Activator pickups (versatile tones, excellent clean or with heavy saturation). It was just set up with brand new Ernie Ball strings and plays effortlessly like you'd expect from a top shelf Ibanez. Frets are great, truss rod works flawlessly, and no structural/functional issues.
I would consider this a fine player grade instrument, given cosmetic wear, some oxidation on hardware, dings and scratches. The most notable blemish is at the tip of the big rear fin - clearly took a hit and was touched up by previous owner (pictured below). If you have experience with pointy guitars, you likely know the tips/points are the first to get bonked and worn. Rear cover is also missing with a chip in the paint that was also touched up a bit. These are not pro touch-ups but make it so the blemishes are hard to see from a few feet away.
No case included, but if shipped, it will be painstakingly packed.
Asking $500 via non-fee payment like PayPal Family&friends or Zelle. Approximate shipping based on your location.
A local cash transaction in the Daytona/Orlando area would of course be great too!
***Please note, the price is the lowest you will find for one of these, simply due to cosmetic blemishes. This is an incredible player and I'm happy to pass it along for the amount that I had invested in the guitar I traded for it previously. I took this one in on trade, essentially for nostalgia (always loved pointy shredder designs like this when I was younger and still more of a rocker) but realistically I don't see myself playing guitar again in band anytime soon, nor will this one be replacing my Rickenbackers on my solo songwriter gigs
Trade or partial-trade considerations are pretty open: interested in short scale basses, bass amp heads, preamps or lightweight cabs, 24-24.75" scale guitars, small guitar tube amps, EH Mel9 pedal, etc.
