Ibanez?

Ok so right now I am playing out of the LTD Viper 305. But I'm looking for a new bass. I was thinking about picking up the Ibanez SR505.

are they good basses? We tune to Drop B.

I don't think I've seen a negative review for it. Call me a whore, but the lack of finish options turned me away.

The only thing I don't like about them is where the cord plugs in. Other than that they're great instruments. They have a very fast neck for a 5 string and are very comfortable to play. I can't say anything's wrong with them at all. Go ahead and get one, it's a very solid, reliable, and good sounding bass.

Buy it, I used to own the SR305 (still in my sig, I should change that) and it was a great bass. The only reason that I sold it was because I needed the money for a "vintage" Ibanez. I like to think of myself as a Ibanez person, they make great basses that are extremely underrated.

That is a freakin' awesome bass. I've played them several times and very nearly pulled the trigger on one. Great pups, preamp, awesome neck and I LOVE the clear satin finish on the mahogany. She's a winner.

Also try an SRX505. These are both great basses and their feel is very similar but they sound very different.

SR's have the fastest necks on a bass I reckon. Get a SR if you want a more natural bass tone. SRX if your a rock/metal player.

i have the 4 string version and i love it. Its got pretty versatile electronics and a super fast neck.

I have played some of the ibanez, the majority of them have a thin jazz like neck, which i hate so i am kinda set off by them, youd have to play around with them!
