New member here. I have recently acquired this vintage bass that I assume was most likely made in Japan. It is a short scale p-bass style. I am unsure of the original colour as it had been stripped down to bare wood previously and painted red, then repainted orange.
I have found a date stamp on the neck heel that appears to be 74/22/04.
In the pickup cavity there is some sort of model number. See pics.
I stripped the paint off and did my first ever paint job in Olympic White. The paint job isn't the greatest but I learned a lot about painting and where I went wrong. I plan on keeping the paint job for now but will probably redo it in the future.
Any help on trying to id this would be appreciated. I will try my best to answer any questions regarding the bass.
