Identify this Japan Jazz Bass

Hi! Please help to identify this guitar...

Strange thing, no holes from pickguard...

Not a clue, but it looks nice.

It looks like a made for the trade MIJ Jazz Bass copy, probably from the 1970's. It looks better than many but beyond that there were dozens of factories making them and is going to be hard to pin down which one.

Looks like Greco JB-450S??? During the restoration, the previous owner closed the screw holes for the pickguard and probably change bridge and pots...

Black paint hiding the belly and forearm cut suggests plywood. Which can be fine but trends to the heavy side.

It also looks like an Ash veneer on the headstock, and I don't see any marks from previous screw holes for a pickguard.

How does it feel and sound? It wouldn't surprise me if it's a great bass.
