Anyone else have this on preorder? (@gregmon79 I'm looking in your direction) I put my order in today. Pretty stoked.

I'm torn on the price jump on his pedals. I assume this means he's doing well and has the demand to ask for these prices, but it does make me more picky with choosing from his pedals than before.

Oh well, his pedals have proven to be worth the price of admission so far. In the Mrexcane bass demo on youtube, I'd say the sweet spot starts just after five minutes in. That's the sound that sold me.

I have not unfortunately. I want to though. I'm hoping his preorders hold out another month or two. I could then. But I can't right now. I really want this pedal. I emailed him about it and asked how it varied from the blower box. I don't expect a response till at the earliest tomorrow.

What price jump? He raised his prices by 10 or 20 bucks 2 years ago. If you mean that the price of the Whores Fuzz is 159 and the Landphil is 169, that's probably because he has to pay them royalties. Everything else has been the price it is for quite a while. Either way I want a Whores Fuzz and pretty much everything else he makes to bad I have no monies.

I'm pretty sure that's why the price is $169 too, it's a special edition of sorts. I think if/when he releases a "normal" run it'll go down a little. Just like the BB did I believe.

I still think his prices are more than fair too. And honestly, for what you're getting, it's a great deal. I'm agreeing with you gambino btw. I think builds some really unique stuff.

I wouldn't consider it expensive, comparatively speaking, but for some reason when a pedal is right around 100 (or less) like the Blower Box was when I bought it at $109 (the other pedals were $99 at the time IIRC - no royalties to Voivod?) when I bought it, for some reason I have an easier time buying it on relative impulse.

Like I said in the original post, I think his pedals are great and are totally worth the money - even the $159, but I am no longer able to just buy his newly introduced pedals on a relative whim. This makes me sad.

I currently have the original versions of the Blower Box, Blasteroid, and Death Ray Frequency Mangler. Used to have the Mad Doctor Stutter too, but just didn't really use it enough to warrant it taking up space on the board.

I have the Whores Fuzz on preorder. If it were $119, I'd probably have the Dungeon Master ordered too.

Anyway, if he ever makes a wah pedal, I might finally retire my Snarling Dogs Bawl Buster.

The BB doesn't have anybody's name on it. I get what you're saying. It was really cool when they were so inexpensive but he really was shooting himself in the foot. I got my OG Blasteroid for 80 or 90 USD so I'm pickin' up what yer puttin' down. He stuff is still very reasonably priced though.

I borrowed my buddies and fell in love for the following reasons:

1. Very tight, punchy and responsive
2. Quick decay - one of the issues I was having with my other fuzz pedals was that when I stopped playing - massive feedback would ensue. There are a couple riffs where we have some tight stops. This pedal is awesome for more intricate uptempo riffs. Still love my high gain pedals for doom / sludge, but this give me some edge while maintaining articulation. I've been looking for something like this for a while.
3. Sounds awesome!
4. Even though I'll hardly ever use it, the freq knob will be perfect for that one low-fi bass break in between parts.
