Haha... I wish! This is City and Colour. They're from Canada. Very popular up there. The main guy is a heck of a singer/songwriter and the band is tight.
indeed they are. Saw them at one of thier first festival performances circa 2005 or 2006. Good show. Dallas Green from Alexisonfire.
There are tons of great bands in Canada that those of us in the States are totally ignorant of, and I far prefer a lot of Canadian country and Americana style bands to ours. This is just one more that hasn't been on my radar. Great voice and nice vibe.

Aw man, I've been up in my studio blasting everything I can find from him for the last 2 days off and on. We saw him Saturday here in Richmond.. Extrordinary show. What I love about his music is that its heavy and textured without being busy. His falsetto is allowed to cut through and be in control, and his band is so good to support that perfectly. It was one of those shows where you can just kick back, close your eyes, and fall deep into the sounds without moving a muscle.
I don't know he had slipped under my radar for so many years. I only found out about him over the last year by a chance visit over at my kid's place, and he had Dallas on the tube performing a solo acoustic set.... I was hooked from then on. He's on the regular play list on XM #359 North Americana... my tuner is locked on that one most of the time.

They were in DC last night. I tried to make it but work was just to crazy to get away in time. I've been regretting it all day.
They have the same lineup as what's in the studio video that you posted. I haven't been able to get a personnel listing, but they all worked really well together in that they all supported Dallas and the songs. At the show, I liked that the drums weren't over done.... in fact I had a hard time hearing them.. The bass was solid and interesting without any hint of showboating. Courtney Marie Andrews opened with about a 45min. set. Just her and a guitar/piano player. My old hearing impaired ears were grateful that I was able to hear the entire night without saturating ear fatigue.

Great band. My wife turned me onto their (His) music back in 2012. Really groovy stuff!

Bonnie Raitt covered one of their songs on her latest and when I saw her concert last month she gave them a shout out. Those cats can play!
