I have also never heard of this. I do know that members are not allowed to ignore moderators, but I never heard of not having permission to ignore regular supporting members.

As far as I’m aware, that didn’t become a thing. I just checked and I can add supporting members to my ignore list. Are you sure the member is not a staff member?
I think it may be more likely that the ability to ignore supporting members became a perk of being a supporting member, however I don’t remember seeing that written anywhere.

Most of us just ignore staff members the old fashioned way
