I actually went to see them live in Amsterdam. September it was I think? Anyway, his sound is so awesome and the performance was one of the best experiences in my live.
it could be just me, but I never seen what the hype was about. Yeah, they have a huge bridge plate that looks pretty cool. I'll take the $199 "phat bass" ibanez over any traben anyday.
It could be my ear, but these just sound flat, not bright, and just very generic.
There are much better products out there for the price point IMO.
But then again, it could be for you. Try it and see if you like it. These just aren't for me by a long shot.
