This isn't directed at GK or any other compnay, but in light of all the "call, don't email" posts in this thread....
I think email should be of the utmost priority for any company. In fact, for me it's more important than anything else. I'm at a PC most of the day, and I do 99% of my communications on it. I usually don't have time to stop, pick up the phone, and wait to talk to someone. I EXPECT to be able to type a quick email and get a quick replay in most lines of business I'm involved in.
Now, what is quick? Well, that's the subjective part that most companies have to deal with. However, I feel getting a response within 24 hours is good. 48 hours is pushing it. Less than 12 hours is stellar. But some type of response should be received in that 24-48 hour period of time.
I like being able to get someone on the phone as well, but email makes things convenient for everyone, for me in not having to call, and for the company in not having to waste time talking to me the second I call in. They can read my email, send me a quick "we'll check into this for you" and then reply back with something that leads to a solution.
In this day and age I don't see how any company can survive without offering this type of support.
