Hey folks, I'm a new poster here but lurk often. I've been working on my own fretless conversion and have even made a few tools rather than line the pockets of a certain overpriced stringed instrument repair business.
So I'm going to post up the videos of me working. I'm not done yet but it's getting towards the end. I'm ordering tuning pegs and strings next payday after all the back-to-school stuff is bought.
Just a slideshow as I didn't shoot vid of me defretting the bass. I annotated the whole thing so you have the step by step process.
