I'm GASsing hard...for a SQUIER!

***?! I was at my local GC last night just fooling around while my guitarist was buying a strap. I started off on one of those Musican Man Classic rays (boy was that thing SWEET!) and then a random used jazz bass then I picked up a P bass.

I am not a huge fan of P basses. I do own one, but it is a Mark Hoppus P Bass strung w/flats. (has the jazz body and stuff so its not quite the same). So anyway i start playing this thing and it is just really nice!

Had that classic P bass sound. Was set up great and played well. So I look at the price and its $279. Im like..why is this fender so cheap?! So I look and to my surprise, its a squier VM!

My last squier was a 5 string p bass special (p bass body with j pickups) and it was OK for the time being, but this p bass was no joke!

Squier has really stepped their game up with these new basses. I may have to go grab one someday.

Here is what she looked like:

Anyone have any experience with these? Are they reliable?

I hate you for posting this! :) I had my local shop order one and now it looks like I may not be able to get it right now. I COULD get it, but my financial situation would be tight for a bit. I've been going back and forth in my head! Arrgh!

I'm GASsing for a Squier Jaguar. The P/J thing sounds great. I have never liked a P on it's own, but the J adds just the right touch. I just can't get over the Squier thing - and I am not sure I can get by without a B string.
