An awful copy of a Marcus Miller Signature 5 string as far as I can tell. But I'm not an expert either.


It matches neither the description nor a Marcus Sig to me.

So, short version is it's a hot mess all around.

IME, the going rate seems to be 60% of what they believe they'll get for it, so anywhere between $300-400 would be my guess.

Maybe they knew it wasn't a genuine Marcus Miller bass. I'm pretty sure they're worth more than $600 used. I don't know much about the model though. Shouldn't there be string trees on a Fender 5-string?

Yeah, the bass referenced by the OP has logos that are the wrong size and two missing string retainers. Some of the knobs have been changed. I think it's a fake.

I think whoever placed the water slide decal on that did a sloppy job . It looks so bad, was never really a fan of the Marcus Miller Fender series. It looks like a squier with a fender decal slapped on it.

That is a CounterFender Easy Mark S Milner Jizz Base. Very rare.

I'm still trying to figure out if GC knows...

It's far less expensive then one of those should be, but at the same time it's listed as a P bass special so the employees there might just not know anything.

Yet we'll drive an hour to a gig, load in and set up for a half hour, sound check for 15 minutes, stand around an hour until show time, maybe spend $20 on food, play 4 hours, spend 30 minutes tearing down and loading out, and drive an hour home (putting $20 in your tank on the way home), for $50-100. LoL
