Double Bass impedance-question /Wilsonpickup

Hi, i am GASing on a new amp. i have an AI head with an ampeg pb110, which is ok so far. the sound of the wilson is just not quiet warm enough for my taste. i want to keep the wilson because it sounds very even across the whole fingerboard.
do you know this?

i like the weight - my AI has just enough power for me. i have absolut no idea what its sounds like.

or maybe i should get a preamp?

i am thinking about summit td100 avalon u5 and dtar solstice. what do you think? But this would add more weight to the rig.

is anyone of you experienced which impedance Wilson likes best? i think this is important when choosing a preamp or amp.

i play straightaheadjazz, but a lot of arco too (tango) and i dont want to schlepp more than necessary.

In my experience the wilson is not very sensitive regarding imp matching. But since I nearly always play through a board (when not doing acoustic gigs) I always go though my Behr ADI21, which has a high imp input.

You probably already know that the wilson is not for everyone/all basses/setup. Some find it too electric. It usually exaggerates in the higher mids. It is also a little prone towards smoothing out the dynamics. But that is often easily fixed with a little EQ. And all live and studio engineers love it. IMO it's one of the best pu:s (but it has not stopped me from fitting a realist pu on the bass that has the wilson...)
