Ampeg 810.
I do have a new Matrix that I can haul it in and it does match the SVT-CL so nicely.
I haven't had one for a long time either.
My garage is looking like a Ampeg warehouse.

I think it's there to make a statement. The child has their toys in a bucket there, and dad has all his toys right next to it. As a musician, you really don't ever grow up. It's a beautiful thing.

How would you compare the sound of SVP-Pro to the SVP-CL you have in your rack to the SVT-VR sitting next to it? Have you tried the Pro into the power amp input of the VR yet?

I do like the bucket of toys too... it is nearly as fun to play bass with Lukas (his style is much like fieldy's) as it is Stormtrooper Potatohead or "eat mom's expensive a&p book".

I posted some comparisons on another thread... breif version is there are pros/cons to both of them. The pro is more versatile and has some great od/distortion tones. The CL has a nicer punchier and thicker basic sound but can't get to OD/Distortion... I like 'em both, the CL is "my sound" right now so the SVP's for sale, but honestly, I'd be just as happy keeping it.

Haha....I did a similar thing a couple of months ago.

I walked into a musicshop to look around fo a new rig just to see what they had but I ended up walking out of there with a Ampeg SVT-450 head nad the SVT 810 cab.

Apparently it isr really easy to become really poor in a very short time.
