In ear monitors

Hey all,

I am trying to downgrade my rig on stage and utilize ear monitors as an alternative. I know nothing about this technology and would really appreciate some guidance on the subject. I am currently running a Trace rig made up of a RAH600 1200 watt head with (2) 4x10 cabs. I would like to go with 1 cab and ear monitors so I can reduce my bass volume on stage and hear myself more clearly through the head gear. I am older now and have some hearing damage, so pumping more bass volume on stage is detrimental at this point.

So far the plan is to purchase a couple higher end ear monitors (non wireless type) and plug into a splitter, sharing the signal with our drummers setup via the board. If any of you are using ear monitors and are happy with the brand or have other suggestions, please chime in.

I use IEMS exclusively at church. What I will say is IEMS are only as good as the mix sent to them. A crappy monitor mix will sound like a total mess in your ears. So first make sure you have someone decent running sound.

2nd I will say get some phone with at least dual ameratures (2 speakers basically) in each bud. I did not get this until I owned a pair...big big difference. These cost more but are worth the coin.
