In Praise of Bass Strings Online

Got my GHS Precision flats custom set yesterday! I ordered a set of 40-55-75-100-128; the strings shipped directly to me (in Grand Rapids) from GHS factory in Battle Creek, MI. My bottle of Planet Waves HYDRATE arrived at the same time, but it came from LA!

Here's the kicker- I placed the order on Thursday around 8:30 PM ET, and the strings and HYDRATE arrived on Saturday around 2:00 PM ET, all while paying for the standard 3-4 business day shipping! I am IMPRESSED! Jason sent me a sticker with the HYDRATE, which promptly went on my combo amp (pics later!) Thanks, Jason! I continue to recommend your site to any bass player I know!

I recently placed my first order and it will definitely not be my last. The only complaint I have is that I didn't see a way to enter billing information and shipping information separately. Typically, I like having things shipped to my work, so I can personally take delivery of them, but my billing address is my home address. If that's just my ignorance, sorry.

Everything else (selection, pricing, service) was stellar.

Ok, I just went back to my account and found where I can update my shipping address. So now I have zero complaints.

No, wait, I do have a complaint. It is now too easy and too much of a temptation to spend a bunch of money experimenting with different strings.

Jason does it again.....placed another order last week and forgot to add in my rewards coupon. Shot Jason an email explaining my failure and without a hitch, he credited the reward discount and sent it on it's way...received in 2 days Ca to VA. Said it before, BSOL is the only place I'll buy strings from. And thanks for the stickers too (I'm a sticker geek).

I have several basses and I am somewhat of a string geek. I like to support my local shops but I aint stupid. BSOL is the best service out there for ordering any musical product online. I hav not purchased another set of strings anywhere else since I discovered BSOL....and I never will.

dat's where I get my strings boyeeeeeee!!! I also bought an inexpensive metronome from them.
