Info about Branson MO

I'm considering moving to Branson Missouri, from Kansas City to try and make a living playing bass. Does anybody have any info on the scene there? Auditions, expectations, schools (my wife is a teacher), real estate, anything.

I'm curious to find out also. I have some family in Branson and they have been begging my wife and I to move down there. I do know that real estate is pretty reasonable and the job market isn't too bad. I can't comment on the scene and am very curious to see what's up there.
