Installing an on/off switch

I've been playing a Gibson Blackbird for a few months now and I love having just an on/off switch with no other controls, so I was going to fix up my Dean 2A Z, or as I like to call it, the paperweight, and I thought while I'm in there, I might as well install an on/off switch.

I plan on running the pickups to the switch to the output jack.

So I was wondering what kind of switch I would need and also if there's any problems that I might encounter by bypassing the volume and EQ controls.
