Interior neon/LED lighting for automobiles

I put some LED's in my truck. I went to Radio Shack and bought the small 5MM LED bulbs wired up with a transistor and placed them in the cupholders in the dash. I put a couple down by the footwells also. My total cost was about $2 for everything. I have some other plans with LED's in my cab, but I haven't got around to it yet. I thought about putting a couple in my vents, but that may be too bright.

Another cool trick is to buy a couple 7MM LED bulbs and plug them into each end of a straw. You can make your own LED tubes for like .30. I made one for my son. He put it near his glove box, so when it comes on it looks like a stream of red liquid running out of his glove box.
