Very simple question: is there such a thing? Can a pickup develop a problem internally which would cause problems with grounding properly? I always figured this was an external (shielding) problem or a wiring problem.
This in regards to a single-coil SD guitar pickup specifically, but I assume the implications are true for any pickups.
