Is an 400RB enough?

I can't comment on the volume vs. the walkabout, but I do own both the 700rbII and the first series 400rb. Both are great amps. Tonally, I got to give the nod to the 400rb. It's got more grunt happening in the low mids, and has a touch less of the hi-mid grind. Through a pair of gk neo 112's, it can handle pretty much any stage, as long as you have some FOH support. Smaller rooms, it can hold it's own without FOH support. Running a gk neo212 with a 112 on top, and it is really sweet..... That could handle a lot of situations. It sounds beautiful through my Heritage 810!

Interestingly, when I run the 400rb into one of the 112's, and my TH500 into the other and compare, they seem to have a bit more in common tonally then the 400/700. A bit of bump in the hi mids on the TH, a touch of cut in the hi's on the 400, and you would have a hard time telling them apart in a blindfold test...... at least when plugged into the neo 112.

Amazing!
The Series 1 400RB that was removed yesterday came back this morning and I got it.
The MB500 I bought out of frustration will be here in 3 days.

Times to sell some gear
