Is anyone using these pickups ?

Anyone using these ??? EmG Replacements ?? I currently have Peavey Cirruss pickups and they are passive single rials. It looks like I can mix and match these to get more a versitale tone spread.

Just curious for feedback on these.

Very clean, hi-fi, extremely quiet, well balanced and very reliable. Not for everyone, as many find them sterile, whatever that means...

Meh, not my favorite by any means. Not bad pickups at all, but a bit lacking in midrange character to my ears.

I dig it. I may have to get these. Which ones in particular did you use ? If sterile means high detalied and clean well thats what I like.

I think EMG's J pickups sound the best of the series, however my next favorite is the CS. I have 40 J's in one of my basses and the clarity of notes is astounding, especially compared to the HZ's that used to be in there.

If you can swing the $$ I would recommend the TW's. They are a J and a CS in the same housing. I wish I would have got the TW's.
