I play a good number of instrument (I make it a point to atleast learn an instrument until I'd feel comfortable enough to play it for a performance.) Bass is definitely the instrument I am best at but I would consider my next bests: Drums, Piano, and Saxophone. Then everything else.
I was a drummer for about two years before I settled on bass. I find it really helped me later with grasping how bass and drums fit in together. I can never speak highly enough of learning the piano. All what you hear is true. It improves your musicianship so much and it is such a great songwriting instrument. Best of luck!
Yes, the Upright piano has to be the most neglected instrument in history. I've even seen people pay you to take them as long as you come pick them up. Poor things!
Cheezy, I know, but Neil Young's "Heart of Gold" inspired me to pick up the harmonica. Went to a pawn shop that day and had it learned that night.

I often think Dylan's whole career was based around disproving "there's no wrong note on the harmonica."
Seeing as Steinways are one of the top names in pianos, I would agree. If I had a truck of my own, I'd be on my way now.
