Double Bass Is bluegrass fading away?

I disagree.... Bluegrass is huge in states like Colorado. The deep south a la Georgia and Florida have a lot of bands, and there are plenty of backyard fire picking sessions going down here in Jacksonville.

There is a lot of non traditional or newgrass bands, and Folk Punk is big here too.

Then there are bands like Futurebirds, who are on some next level stuff.

And here in Vancouver we had Punch Brothers at The Chan Centre last Saturday night, John Reischman & the Jaybirds at Studio 700 tonight. I'm okay with that! ;)

Punch Bros were f*cking incredible - in a league of their own, really. We were sitting next to John who said in his quiet deadpan way, "I'm taking notes!" :D
