I have a thing for piezos and hollow bodies and I keep seeing the Italia Maranello Z bass. What I’ve read doesn’t exactly say if the bridge saddles are adjustable, if they’re individual or one for all, what style the saddles are, if they’re easily replaceable, etc. (I’ve busted 4 so far). And I can’t find picture that isn’t grainy when zoomed in. Have any fellow piezo weirdos had their hands on one that could enlighten me?

  2. I have never used one however looking at the photos it appears you can move the saddles between three set positions (slots in the rosewood bridge).

So not micro adjustable but should be able to adjust to a point.

It's a copy of a Hofner floating bridge.
You can slide it at will toward the desired position.

Thank you. I was having trouble finding a picture this high in resolution. That’s a new one for me. Better than nothing I guess. I’d like to have a Semi or fully hollow body but with a real bridge and loaded saddles but there’s not many out there

This bridge is good enough for Mc Cartney.

Oh ok. So, it’s a floating bridge too. I have a ‘65 vox cougar up for sale with one. I bought an acoustic years ago just to play around the house while my gear was at the rehearsal spot (or at the bar. Lol) I got used to not having pickups in the way for slapping so I’ve kinda been waiting on something piezo, adjustable, semi hollow, good tone etc.. I think I’ll have to have one built to find out why it’s not a good idea. Lol. Thanks for the insight!

  8. Of course, duh!

I was so focused on the saddles I didn't even think you could just move the bridge :sorry:
