IS IT RARE?

I know BC Rich basses dont get a lot of respect on this site, but-

I recently saw a Warlock with some features I hadnt seen before, at least not on the same bass at the same time.

I know thats happened a lot before, but heres what was different.:

The fretboard had these two long inlays running along the entire length of the fretboard-
no dots or other fret markers on the fretboard, but those two mother of pearl looking inlays all the way along both sides of the fretboard, not on the sides of the neck.
Has anyone else seen this?

AS an avid Rich fan, Im already GASsin for it, even though its a 4 string, but Ill BEAD it if i get it.

If its a rare production, I ll just be even more likely to jump on it.

No clue myself, but someone knows. Do you know what year it is? You might want to check Neal Moser's site, he was one of the original BC Rich luthiers, and has lots of info on his site. (I found the schematic for my Warlock with hosed electronics on there, for example.)

Mine's more like this:

Not sure of the pickups, actually, but it's got the switches - maybe not in that exact config. And a tremolo!

Or maybe this one, I seem to remember the chickenhead selector knob, will check when I get home.

There are lots and lots of different versions, whether the original USA made or the newer imports.

Cool, glad the mystery is solved. I don't think I'd ask Neal Moser about that, then, or any of the newer ones made after the company was bought out and the new owners booted him and sent mfging overseas... I have no idea what the story is or whether there's any grudges held, he just seems like the kind of guy I wouldn't want to get mad - especially since I may need his help getting my Warlock working again. I did see he not only offers schematics, but also complete wiring "loom" kits for the older original instruments (not the cheapest, but likely most efficacious, solution to my Warlock's hose wiring).

For you guys that own BCRs, especially the mockingbirds, how are the necks? I really like that new ghost black 5 string but I cannot try it before I buy it. The neck is the main fear I have. More thin like an SX or thick like a Peavey?

On one of the sites (I can't remember if it was Allparts or something else) they sell "left handed" volume pots.
