Is it worth it?

My main gigging bass is a Frankenstein p-style bass I put together from a bunch of cheap parts, with a G&L MFD P-style pickup. I have an Aguilar OBP-3 sitting around my apartment waiting for a home. What are you guys' thoughts on dropping the Aggie in the p-bass? It should be doable without much modification, but I will have to drill a couple more holes in the pickguard.

IMO, you are all ready into your Frankenbass this much, what would be the difference at this point. Go For IT!!!
If it don't work out, pull it and save it for the next bass.

That's kind of what I was thinking.

I've got an OBP-3 in a PJ and love it. Give it a try. The Preamp is so small, you can back out without modifications if you don't like it.
