Is there any flat set that are light gauge but stiff?

The thing is i love the attack of stiff strings, but my custom 4 string bass converted to 5er could not stand a medium or heavy gauge flat set.
So im looking for a light but unflexible set, any ideas?

If you measure the distance between ball-end and nut, do you think a 35.5" string would fit, and not be too short?

If so (and considering that even a flatwound string will stretch a little bit - around a quarter of an inch), you could try the Rotosound Jazz Bass 77 medium-scale set (RS77M), augmented with a light-gauge single low B of your choice. Admittedly, there isn't a lot of choice to begin with: in your case, I would try getting a single Magma Ultra Flat 120, even though they're groundwound instead of true flats.

If not so, you could try getting a Rotosound RS77LE or SH77 set, tune it down a perfect fourth, and add a single 035 on top (either their single high C - JBL035 - or a guitar flat, such as the D'Addario Chrome CG035).

I've been using GHS Brite Flats (45-98) on my Jazz for the last month. I realize they're groundwound/half-rounds and not a true flatwound but their tonal character is very much flatwound. Light weight (only 152.3 lbs.) but still plenty firm as half-rounds tend to be stiffer in feel than the gauges might suggest. In fact, they do feel firmer than the Ernie Ball Group IV flats (40-95, 153.2 lbs.) that are on my P bass. Just a thought...
