I can’t tell you what your bass is worth. You can find that out on your own by searching for similar basses.

I can, however, tell you that your bass was made between 1972 and 1975. In ‘72 Gibson relocated the mudbucker pickup from next to the neck joint to the middle of the body. (The “Made in USA” stamp came about in 1970) In mid-‘75 Gibson started using decals for their serial numbers. The EB-0 basses were no longer offered after 1979.

The serial numbers themselves don’t offer much help. Gibson was utterly pathetic with their serial numbers and files back in the Norlin days.

If the pots are original you can read the codes to get a round-about idea of the year. I say “round-about” because there are examples of Gibson instruments that were made using “new” pots two to three years old. It is also possible to date your bass by the routes in the body. Each year was ever-so-slightly different. I know the yearly variances in routes for Les Pauls, but I’ve forgotten those for SGs and the EB line of basses.

In any case, you can safely say that your bass was made between 72 and 75.
