Is this a value or not?

you have good taste, @Zeepit . Yamaha bb800? I have the bb1200. Still brutal. Nothing wrong with vintage. I'd definitely look for "player" condition. A 1992 MIM precision is far more vintage than a 63 P was (and it was called "vintage") when I started playing in 86. That doesn't just mean I'm old, it's also true.
What can I say, I've been gigging and playing for over 30 years, so yeah, my taste in the instrument realm has been refined for sure. That focus has always been on drums and 6 strings guitar though. There is def bleed through on my taste, but the insight just a few posts here has garnered forme is tremendous! I also have the benefit of living between two very musical cities, Detroit and Chicago, so exposure to cool stuff was never an issue!
