Is this an Aria Diamond bass?

My friend is wondering what this bass is (see attached pics) that she got from her father? She is looking to sell it and posted it for around 270$, and got loads of responses. That got her thinking she may need to learn more about it first.

Searching through the forums, I am getting the idea that this is a pre-1970 Aria Diamond, model 1220 I guess. The serial number doesn't seem to match post-1970 models dating that is explained on the Matsumoku website. Pictures from the web show the headstock is different for post-1970 models.

Anyone can identify this bass and potential value range now-a-days? It may need some work on the electronics and is missing a knob.

It is the right style, looks the right age, and has the right neck plate. There is no logo on it. Matsumoku, who made the Aria Diamond basses also made basses for the trade (identical instruments that had different names or no name on the headstock). I sthink this is one of them. So super technically it may not be an Aria Diamond but there is no real difference.
