God, the subject matter of that song is dreadful. Damn catchy tune but the lyrics sure do need an overhaul!
That song and video seems a logical progression from "Forbidden Zone" which featured not only Oingo Boingo, but Herve Villiachaise..(prolly spelled that wrong) you think THIS is weird? Check out that flick.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong. The tone makes it clear that he's being extremely sarcastic. If he's straight, I think he's saying that he's ready for someone a little more mature.
I dunno. It doesn't sound wierd to me to decide you're ready for more mature women. My wife is a full generation older than the last girl I dated before we got serious. Melanie is ten years older than me. Becky was seven years younger.
Of course later I figured out I hadn't wanted someone more 'mature'. I'd wanted someone more 'sane'. Fortunately she is both.
