I know he's a professor emeritus at UNLV, I hope he's still playing!
He absolutely smokes this performance of Birdland with Buddy Rich.
If he's not a member, I hope someone here knows him and tells him that he's getting some love on TalkBass.

He was my arranging teacher at Berklee... a very nice, cool person.
One day, I came to class and there was a new teacher. We were informed that Tom had left to go on the road with Buddy. (That kind of thing was fairly common at Berklee.)
