Very close to a mic sound without the feedback and bleed, and can be used either through a bass amp (with the 9V battery), or with an XLR and phantom power source.
I used the white putty (still good).
This mic works great, and is in good condition. I still have a whole line of new white Ischell unused putty for mounting it. The battery and jack mount does have some adhesive on it from when I had it mounted on the back of my bass's tailpiece, which is shown in the 2nd photo.
