ISP Deci Mate

First, there was the Decimator, then the Decimator II, and now a footprint friendly Deci Mate X.

Does anyone own a Deci Mate X? I'm wondering exactly what is "diffetent" about it other than its diminutive size.

I'm real interested in getting this pedal. If anyone can offer suggestions or insight related to this pedal, it would be greatly appreciated.

My guitar player had the II and it worked great for him so I thought I'd put the mini version on my board and it worked just the same as his. But then I realized I didn't really need it. But if you think you need a noise gate, it's one of the best.

Thanks Cracker7! I definitely need it. My J bass has stock pups and it seems that I get some type of interference with my PJ and P basses also. I'm wondering if the Deci Mate X would take care of a bass that needs shielding... hmmmm... Thanks again.

I have had the Decimator II G String, which I then sold in favor of the Decimator II. I had better luck with the quick, hard clamp running it after my distortion rather than using the 4 cable method.

I then sold the Decimator II to get the DeciMate.

Things I prefer about the DeciMate over the Decimator II:
- Waaaay lighter and a smaller form factor. The Decimator II is one of the heaviest pedals in that standard boss size that I've had.
- It can get hard clampy while also handing the trail of notes a little more naturally.

Things I prefer about the Decimator II over the DeciMate:
- I really haven't figured out if my ears/feel are deceiving me but I do think the Decimator II clamps just a sliver more abruptly, which I miss for my use. This is a very very slight difference though and not a deal breaker for me at all.
- To my ears the Decimator II added a very tiny bit of high mids, low treble that added a slight clawing, scraping factor that I miss. I haven't heard other users having this experience though so again, could be my ears deceiving me or my particular setup
