Not here in the UK.
At least my 15 minutes of searching the web didn't turn them up.

In fairness, I didn't check Thomman but it will cost me £10 in postage & a week's wait on top of the price of the string & I don't really have a tremendous faith that putting a new even more overpriced TI on there isn't just a sunk cost fallacy situation.

I have a lot of experience with La Bella's (albeit not on RICs) but these are shockingly uneven in comparison.

The E sounds like a DEAD flatwound.

I don't mean "played in"

I mean "Okay, I've had this flatwound on for 20 yrs and it finally reached the end Time for new strings. Rest well old chum".

The AD & G are still almost zingy.

Now.... my first thought was that perhaps I had botched up stringing it despite being unbelievably careful and anal about the way I string my basses, carefully measuring out exactly how much I need to get 3 winds round the post, making sure the string isn't twisted at all in any way from the ball up to the silks, putting a bend in the string at the length I want before snipping it beyond the bend to ensure the wrap doesn't become disconnected from the core etc.

But I couldn't have the E was actually fine for the first four month then it went from:

"Hmm. It's been four months, I suppose they aren't as bright as they were but, these strings are a bit zingy still, I wonder if this is as worn in as they get?"

to

"Hang on. The top three strings are still a tiny bit brighter than La Bellas would be by now but this E string is just kaput"

just over the space of the first 6 wks of this year.

I've not done anything weird to it.
I wipe my strings down after playing on each of my basses every single time without exception.
I give them a light coating of Fast Fret being careful to wipe off the excess.

I think these strings are just junk - or at the very least looking at back at the activity on this post their quality is wildly inconsistent.

I only bought TIs instead of La Bella's because I wanted to avoid re-cutting the nut and the JF344's are almost perfectly sized (in fact the E is fractionally narrower).

It's not like I can buy a single TI E string to replace it.

That was unnecessarily expensive experiment that failed miserably

I'll never buy another set of them again

I've decided screw it, I'm gonna throw rounds on it again.

I can't understand why people would use Fast Fret and the like. Never use the stuff, never a problem.

Therefore my sample size of one means that anyone who has had a problem with this product is just making it up to spite me & my mighty ego because I can't understand even the most basic statistics. .
What's more even though the newest of noobs is painfully string preferences is possibly the most subjective topic in bass playing I'm going to confidently declare for anyone who doesn't like the things I do is an embarrassment."

This is exactly why I don't play TI Flats: the A string is too thin in gauge compared to the rest of the set, and makes it play like an old rubber band. I suggest La Bella LTF's instead, which started off the same way, as copies of TI's, and about a year later re-engineered their A string for this reason.

It just extremely light mineral oil.
It helps remove gunk before it can start to degrade the string & creates barrier against dust & the like between sessions.

The name "Fast Fret" is a misnomer.
Its not there to make the strings "play faster" or anything.
Its just a string cleaner.

If you can feel it on the strings after using it, you've used too much and you should wipe it off

Edited to say: My experience with rounds is that using it to clean the strings after each session extends the life of the string by a about a third for me.

I wasn't sure where you were based as your profile doesn't show the location. It's ironic it's harder to get them where you are considering TI is based in Austria.

The JF have a silk inlay along the length of the string. Why not add some oil.

Funny, I've brought a D string recently on amazon prime lol; Amazon.co.uk

Got a 6 year old set by this point and I can't replace them with any set so far.

For some reason per my previous post, I thought it was a .070 A string single you were after.
Here are all the JF34 singles at LOTS . The E string .100 would cost around 20 british pounds including shipping from the Netherlands to U.K

Well, late answer to my initial comment from you, but I can say that I now have LaBella LTF and I do prefer them over TI Flats!!

It now has D'Addario XL's on it in factory gauges.
