Double Bass Ist Bass, 2nd Violin, Viola, Cello

I played a novel gig today. My wife asked me to play at an assemlby for her elementary school (the DJ backed out at the last minute). I just finished transcribing the first violin part of a quartet wedding collection for Bass and I got to give it a spin. The ensemble was Ist Bass, 2nd Violin, Viola, Cello. It was a blast. We did Ode to Joy, La Rejouissance, Vivaldi Spring, and Ave Maria from the book. We also played Theme from Spongebob, Theme from Ed,Edd, and Eddy, and Mission Impossible (I played the bass parts on them). The kids did the Chicken dance and sang along with SpongeBob. The lady teachers sighed during the Mexican tune "Volver, Volver" No dough but lots of claps.

So good till you said that. O'well pretty cool though. I played at a elm school once we played george of the jungle, rosin eating zombies from outer space, love potion #9 and a few other things. Those kids were CRAZY. I remember on love potion they were clapping off the beat it was a blast though.
