I have been gassing for a Jaguar for a long time but money has been a little tight and prices haven't been very favorable lately so I had kinda put the whole thing behind me.
But a few nights ago I couldn't sleep so I found myself surfing the web at 2 in the morning......after a while I cruised over to ebay and did a Jag search......whoa! A red one one with a little minor cosmetic damage for a killer "buy it now" price. I've got a longevity bonus coming from work that will cover it....so......in a day or two the brown truck will be pulling up outside :hyper:

2011 is off to a good start!

Fed Ex left this on my doorstep a few days ago.
It feels good in my hands, especially the neck, and sounds bitchin'.
Lots of knobs and switches to play with......I think I *heart* my Jaguar!

Bit of a newbie question, but seeing same (or is it) pickups and their position as Jbass, what are the tonal differences of the two, and what do the switches do anyway? The top two pots are probably volumes, bottom two are tone for each (or is it blend and tone?), but what about top one, and bottom three?

Oh, lovely bass BTW!

I am pretty new to this as well but as I understand it, the two knobs in the conventional position are master tone and master volume. The 3 switches on the lower horn are neck pickup on/off, bridge pickup on/off and pickups series/parallel. The switch and knobs on the upper horn are on/off for the pre-amp, bass and treble for the pre-amp. So far the differences seem pretty subtle to me but I know I am not nearly at a level to do this thing justice yet.
But I'm working on it! :bassist:
