Musiciansfriend is taking pre-orders for the John Moyer Signature Havoc... I was thinking of buying a Chaos Core 5, but I'm still kind of sketchy about the looks of them. I think it's worth the extra $70 for something that looks this much better, with the same great features. This might just take a 5-string Warwick Corvette's place as my next bass purchase....

When I saw Disturbed last year, he played a MM SR5. Looks like the sig Traben has 35" scale.... cool!
Not a big fan of the shape of the body, I love the paint job, and his tone....absolutely sick!

i have a chaos core 5 on the way,black vapor.I am really looking forward to this bass,my first active bass and my first 5 string.
That's awesome man, I'm sure they're an excellent bass. I personally can't get past the look of the lower horn, but if you dig it, then power to you!
It's a pretty good selling feature to me he switched from the SR5's to these. He uses them live and used them for Indestructible, so he obviously thinks they're better in some way.
Oh I haven't pre-ordered one or anything, but I'm seriously considering it... The thing that turns me off most from the body styling is that knob right at the bridge, I'm sure it's easy-access, but the look of it bothers me a little
. It does have the OBP-3 though, so you can't do much better than that at this price. The paint job is gorgeous too, and I couldn't agree more about Moyer's tone.im personally getting an traben array 5 limited with a spalt red finnish i think it looks better and plays better too
Not that I'm saying you're wrong, but how could you possibly know that it plays better than the Moyer, which isn't even out yet?

I'm thinking so too, but I'm a bit torn between this and a Warwick Corvette 5-string. The Warwick sits so well in the hand and sounds monstrous, but oh that OBP-3, and that Disturbed tone... and the fact that a new Moyer would run about the same as a used Corvette, and looks at least as good makes it a tough decision.
