J Bass parallel/serial wiring diagram with TONE pot push/pull????

I want to build a jazz bass control plate that can switch between parallel and serial wiring, but with the push/pull in the tone pot. I've found a diagram for the push/pull in the neck volume pot, but haven't been able to find one for the switch to be in the tone pot.

Can anyone forward me a (readable) link so I can get the proper tone pot and rewire one of he available control plates that I have in the drawer? [Please don't send me one that only an electrical engineer can read... Just one that actually shows the pots and lugs themselves]. Thanks in advance

You can use the same diagram. The switch doesn’t care which potentiometer it’s on. If you’re going passive there are plenty of 250 or 500Kohm pots audio or linear taper with switches available. Use whichever one is your preference.

A quick googleing found this one. Looks like it’s from Seymour Duncan so you might have to adapt wire colors for a different brand.

I have that diagram. And then it occurred to me that I have Aguilar AG 4J HC pickups (stacked, noiseless) which have three wires, so I'll have to revisit the wiring. Unfortunately SD doesn't indicate + or - but just black and white. I'm not an electrical engineer, but a "paint by numbers" solderer. I have no clue how a switch on a pot actually operates, so copying anything other than a literal drawing is beyond my level of understanding.

I suppose I'm ok with a switch on Volume 1, but I still have to figure out what to do with the 3rd wire on the noiseless pickups.

It will work the same on the tone pot. Just take the rectangle that represents the switch in the diagram and move it to the tone pot. I’m on my phone so I have no way to do that but that’s really all it is. Not sure what wires are what on the pickups. What colors are they and do you have a meter?

Yes, I have a multimeter.

I found the Aguilar stock wiring diagram. So may I assume that the black wires from the Duncan pickups would also be black wires from the Aguilar pickups? It looks like Aguilar made things easy making the neck hot yellow and the bridge hot white (?) with all the black wires going to ground.

One black should be connected to the coil and one to ground. If you set the meter to ohms or the 10 or 100k ohms range depending on the meter one black wire should give you something in the 7-8Kohm range (I’m guessing) across it and the other wire, white or yellow, the other black should read OL or infinite to the white or yellow. The black wires that read OL go to ground. The black wire that gives a reading to the other wire is the one that goes to the series/parallel switch.
