J.E. Moser Aniline Dyes

Started thinking of my next project.
Seriously considering using dyes instead of nitro for the finish.
Saw these and was wondering if anybody had used them. Water or alcohol based better. Seen there are more color options for waster based.
Any other companies dyes that you'd recommend.
Any hints or help on the prep.
Any ideas or help with what to finish with. Clear nitro, tru-oil, tung oil, etc.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've used Homestead Finishing TransTint dyes for years on furniture and now instruments. They seem expensive, but a little truly goes a long way. I use water to dilute them, alcohol flashes off faster than I like. I usually use a sealer coat of shellac then multiple light coats of TruOil. I know some folks hate it, just a personal preference. I'm on a job site so I can't get more detailed right now, but would be happy to share my experience with dyes if you have some specific questions. I have a build thread floating around here where I use them.
